Terms of Use

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE AND OUR PRIVACY POLICY (COLLECTIVELY, THE “TERMS”) CAREFULLY. THESE TERMS CREATE A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT AND GOVERN YOUR USE OF THE POCKET APP (“POCKET”) MOBILE APP, WEBSITE, PRODUCTS AND SERVICES (COLLECTIVELY, THE “SERVICES”).
USE OF THE SERVICES IS SUBJECT TO YOUR AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS. BY ACCESSING AND USING THE SERVICES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THESE TERMS, AND THAT YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS, YOU SHOULD REFRAIN FROM ANY USE OF THE APP OR SERVICES.
Purpose of the App
Pocket is a personal finance tracker that allows users to record and manage their financial transactions, such as expenses and income. Users can also create categories, add transaction notes, and export data as CSV files.
User Registration and Privacy
Pocket does not require users to register an account or provide any personal data. All data entered by the user is stored locally on the user’s device and backed up via iCloud if enabled by the user.
Content and User Responsibilities
Users may input their financial data and categorize it. Since there is no social or shared content in this App, users are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of their own data.
In-App Purchases
Pocket offers one type of purchase: - A **Premium** option. All purchases are managed via Apple's App Store and the StoreKit service. Prices and terms of payment are provided during the purchase process.
Third-Party Services
The App integrates with a third-party service: - **Open Exchange Rates**: This service fetches the most recent currency exchange rates. No user data is shared with this service.
Data Storage and Termination
All data entered into the App is stored securely on the user's device and, if enabled, in their iCloud account. Since there is no user account system in Pocket, users can only manage and delete their data through their devices. There is no centralized service where user data can be terminated or removed.
Limitation of Liability
Pocket is provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied. While we strive to ensure the App operates without error, Pocket is not liable for any data loss, inaccurate reporting, or issues resulting from software bugs, hardware failures, or any other circumstances that lead to the loss or corruption of data. Users are encouraged to back up their data regularly.
Dispute Resolution
In case of any disputes arising from the use of the App, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be governed by the laws of Norway.
Intellectual Property
The name "Pocket" and all associated logos and materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use the name "Pocket" or any related branding in connection with your own products or services without our prior written consent.
Updates to Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Since the App does not have an account registration feature, we will not notify users of changes directly. Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
